Dispatcher - Mackay World Service
Location: Houston, TX (Deer Park)
Under limited supervision, the Mackay World Service Dispatcher will communicate with customers world wide via phone, fax and e-mail. Incumbent will also communicate with local ship agents and managers. Upon completion of service assignment, incumbent will follow-up with customer to review technician’s detailed service report.
Qualifications
• Incumbent must possess an Associates Degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in electronics.
• Understanding of marine electronics is a plus
• History of customer service and building long-term customer relations
• Must possess excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Excellent time-management, organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently using discretion and judgment to make timely decisions
• Intuitive thinking to work through problems efficiently
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Ability to be "on-call" every other weekend
Candidate will dispatch Marine Electronic Technicians to service:
Radars, ECDIS, Satcoms, HF and VFH Radios, GPS, Gyrocompasses, Autopilots, Sounders
Salary: $30K-$36K plus overtime.

Location: Raleigh, NC
Brief Description:
The HR Manager has the following responsibilities:
• Health and Welfare benefits: Help design and then administer these programs.
• Retirement Plans: Administer 401(k) and Pension Plan.
• Recruiting: Administer process involving roughly 25 new hires per year including Job Descriptions, Advertising, on-line testing, background reports, interviews, and compliance.
• Government reporting: Prepare all HR-related reports including EEO-1, VETS-100, and Unemployment claims.
• Employee database: Maintain HR profiles using ADP HRIS and Excel.
• Legal compliance including knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and related state and federal regulations.
• Company Policies and procedures: Work with two Co-Owners to create and/or update company policies and procedures.
• Management Training: Help administer training and development program for key employees.
• Interact with employees and outside vendors.
• Knowledge: Confidence and technical skills of human resource practices.
Qualifications:
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to handle multiple on-going tasks in a high stress environment.
• Advanced PC literacy including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office and other database management software. Must be proficient using Excel. ADP experience a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience helping employees.
• Ability to work independently with little to moderate supervision.
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Effective problem solving skills, initiative, high energy, adaptable, self-directed, resilient, and high stress tolerant.
• Five years’ experience in a multi-functional human resources position.

Technical Advisor- Mackay World Service

Description:
Under limited supervision, the Mackay World Service Technical Advisor will communicate with shipping customers world wide via phone, fax and e-mail. Incumbent will also communicate with local ship agents and internal department managers. Upon completion of service assignments, incumbent will follow-up with customer to review the field technician’s detailed service report, and prepare invoices.
Qualifications
• A strong knowledge of marine electronics products including radars, navigation equipment, GMDSS, gyro and steering, speed logs…
• Must have served in the capacity of a marine service engineer for at least 7 years or in a marine electronics technical support role for at least 10 years
• History of customer service and building long-term customer relations
• Understanding of marine electronics is a plus
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
• Excellent time-management, organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to work pleasantly, professionally, and patiently with a variety of international customers and people in many internal departments.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Ability to be "on-call" every other weekend
Candidate will support ship owners and managers providing sound technical advice regarding shipboard marine electronic equipments including the following :
Radars, ECDIS, Satcoms, HF and VFH Radios, GPS, Gyrocompasses, Autopilots, Sounders
Our technical advisor must be reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, communicate well and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
