Description:
Under limited supervision, the field service technician will install, service, and repair electronic equipment on board ships. You will test, adjust, and troubleshoot electronic components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, and antennas. You will load, update, and modify software. You will use your knowledge of radio frequencies (RF), electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems. You will make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments. Upon completing the assignment, the technician will compose a detailed service report.

Requirements Qualifications
• Applicant should possess an MTS/MBO or equivalent education, training, and/or 3-5 years of experience
• PC proficiency
• Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application
•GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer skills and/or MARCOM certification is a plus
• Be physically fit—Work environment often involves carrying 10-20 kgs of equipment, climbing ladders and masts, and exposure to weather

Parts Sales Specialist, Marine Electronics

We currently have an opening for an Parts Sales Specialist, Marine Electronics in our Houston office.
Respond to RFQ’s from external customers and Mackay’s sales department via e-mail, fax, telephone and
website. The Parts Sales Specialist will research and develop new clients and opportunities and also work with
existing accounts. Order needed parts and track freight cost; process sales orders, purchase orders, and
invoices in our company computer system. Support local inventory; including shipping & receiving. These
functions are broken down as follows:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and fill orders; issue equipment, parts and supplies
Work sales leads obtained from OEMs, Websites, current customers, and other Mackay departments
Contact OEMs and distributors via telephone, fax and/or e-mail to obtain availability and prices of
needed equipment, spare parts, or materials
Reconcile incoming orders against purchase orders and/or requisitions to ensure completeness
Pick, pack, ship, and invoice goods sold
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals and the ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree (minimum requirement)
Three years of sales experience
Good telephone skills, able to generate sales via phone, fax and email
Driven by goals, deadlines, and the desire to win
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Organized and detail oriented
Advanced PC literacy including Microsoft Office and database management software - Solomon
experience is a plus
Must be able to work independently with little to moderate supervision
Customer service oriented self motivated, dependable, and friendly
Shipping experience
