It is a low-cost,easy to use fixed telephony solution, that is ideal both for master and crew on smaller fishing vessels, leisure craft and regional merchant fleets. FleetPhone comprises a compact terminal with integrated handset for below-deck operation, and a lightweight omni-directional antenna mounted above deck. Components are designed specifically for maritime requirements and built to marine grade. They are easily connected using the standard cable kit provided. FleetPhone is Ideal for: - Crew calling - Bridge communications - Ship-to-shore business calls Coverage: FleetPhone can be used within the Indian Ocean Region and South China Seas using Inmarsat’s latest-generation I-4 satellite; it is targeted to be offered on a global basis in mid-2009.
