Nauticast's EXCLUSIVE U.S. Dealer! - Nauticast X-Pack DS Pro/AC-17 AIS Transponder The X-Pack DS AIS Transponder was developed and designed according to the highest ISO standards by Nauticast and provided exclusively by its manufacturing partner – Siemens of Austria. Nauticast’s objective was to produce an integrated, compact, user-friendly, easy to install system to satisfy current and future AIS requirements and in addition, considered to be a compliment to a vessel’s bridge electronics. Nauticast’s design of its X-Pack DS AIS Transponder transcends the IMO, IALA, ITU, IHO, and IEC standards as the “minimum required”, in order to anticipate “tomorrow’s” AIS maritime requirements (i.e, hardware and software readiness for customized DGPS and alternate interface options). The AIS-Transponder can be used as a stand-alone unit, or for enhanced navigational and communication operation, in conjunction with an ENC and/or ECDIS for traffic image display. It also interfaces with existing NMEA compatible equipment and sensors, thereby ensuring problem free retrofitting and connectivity to PCs, notebooks, radar systems and Voyage Data Recorders. The Nauticast S-Pack DS is fully USCG and FCC certified. The Nauticast X-Pack DS Pro/AC-17 is supplied with a uniqe combined GPS/VHS antenna, making installation of the system one of the easiest on the market.
