Mackay Marine currently has an opening for an experienced, Senior Marine Electronic Engineer (MEE), also referred to as a Marine Service Engineer (MSE), who is highly proficient in English and has the skills and qualifications listed below for our Dubai, UAE location.  TJD

Senior Marine Electronic Engineer Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, Senior Marine Electronic Engineers (MEE) will install, service, and repair electronic equipment onboard ships and provide guidance to other technicians. Electronic Engineers will test, adjust, and troubleshoot components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, as well as loading, updating, and modifying software. They also utilize their knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems and make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments and provide a detailed service report.

Senior Marine Electronic Engineer Qualifications:

  • University degree in electrical engineer or equivalent technical training and/or certificates.
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • 5+ Years of Marine Electronic Engineer experience in the commercial shipping industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application.
  • Valid FCC General License with Radar Endorsement preferred.
  • GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred
  • Be physically fit. Work environment often involves exposure to weather, working in tight spaces, carrying 10–23 kilograms, climbing stairs, planks, ladders, and masts.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
