The Raytheon Anschütz Synapsis ECDIS is a high performance Electronic Chart Display and Information System.  The upgraded functions of the Synapsis ECDIS enable interaction with other bridge navigation systems and enhance support for a safe voyage with knowledge-based navigation.  By utilizing standard hardware, the workstations can allow for highly scalable system solutions.

The intelligent functions of the Synapsis ECDIS more than complies with the minimum IMO requirements such as automatic route planning, online updating of charts, AIS operation, Navtex integration and weather data as well as Track Control up to Category C. The Synapsis ECDIS display is crisp and clear with five color ranges for optimal visibility regardless of lighting conditions.  The system interaction is user-friendly, with intuitive menu structures (based on Microsoft Windows apps), and comprehensive functionalities.

Raytheon’s Synapsis ECDIS is available for new build or integrated in a retrofit solution.
