Over the Counter (OTC) Sales and Inventory Specialist – Dutch Harbor

Mackay is currently seeking an experienced Over the Counter (OTC)/Inventory Specialist with the skills and qualifications listed for our Dutch Harbor, AK location.

OTC/Inventory Specialist Job Summary:

The OTC/Inventory Specialist is responsible for responding to customer requests for pricing, submitting quotes, as well as monitoring and controlling materials and/or supplies. The position will spend approximately 50% of the time on inventory and the other 50% on OTC sales.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy, including but not limited to order reconciliation, cycle counts, directing of physical inventory counts, adjustments, discrepancy analysis, lot and quantity adjustments, and inventory maintenance.
• Research and locate via the Internet items the customer is seeking.
• Verification of materials/parts received against purchase orders and/or requisitions.
• Provide excellent and timely customer service to inquiries for OTC parts
• Cold call marine businesses to generate sales
• Grow OTC business and manage an established profit margin

Qualifications:

• Completion of High School as minimum, college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• 3 + years of inventory control and/or stockroom experience.
• 3+ Sales experience.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to interpret and solve problems and issues, using instructions, diagrams, or schedule forms.
• Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
