The new Ocean Signal EPIRB 3 is a 406 MHz global rescue beacon with full features, including a manual release bracket and additional host of features like a compact modern design that includes AIS EPIRB technology. The Ocean Signal EPIRB 3 also has Return Link Service (RLS) which confirms the distress message has been received after the beacon has been activated. Near Field Communication capability also allows for the use of a smartphone app to monitor the battery life of the EPIRB3 and is helpful for mariners with any purpose.
