Mackay’s Global Locations Endorsed by USCG for VDR APT Service

Happy birthday to the United States Coast Guard (USCG)! Did you know that the USCG turned 230 years old this week?

Mackay was recently endorsed by the USCG as a VDR/S-VDR APT Service Provider and has FCC- Approval (Federal Communication Commission) via GMDSS certification, to service transmit-electronics by trained technicians from Mackay’s global locations. Both endorsements are preferred and often required by US-flagged vessel electronics.

Mackay provided 7,500+ VDR APTs on vessels globally over the last 5 years and conducted 50%+ of VDR APTs on US merchant vessels.
