Mackay is currently seeking an experienced Counter Sales and Inventory Specialist with the skills and qualifications listed below for our 6-person shop in our Dutch Harbor, AK location.

Counter Sales & Inventory Specialist Job Summary:

The Counter Sales & Inventory Specialist is responsible for greeting and responding to walk-in customers and addressing their requests for parts and equipment, preparing and submitting quotes, replenishing, and pricing the shops supply of inventory for resale, as well as monitoring and controlling materials. The position will spend approximately 50% of the time on inventory and the other 50% on Counter Sales.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy, including but not limited to order reconciliation, physical inventory counts, adjustments, and inventory maintenance.
• Research and locate via the Internet items the customer is seeking.
• Verification of materials/parts received against purchase orders and/or requisitions.
• Provide excellent and timely customer service for spare parts and equipment inquiries.
• Grow OTC business and achieve established sales and profit goals.

Counter Sales and Inventory Specialist Qualifications:

• Completion of High School as minimum, college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• 3 + years of inventory control and/or stockroom experience preferred.
• 3+ Sales experience.
• Must possess a desire to be part of a small team and interest in working with everyone in the local fishing community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
