Field Service Coordinator/Dispatcher – Seattle

Mackay Marine is currently seeking a Field Service Coordinator/Dispatcher with experience in the marine industry and who has the skills and qualifications below to join our location in Seattle, WA.
Field Service Coordinator Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Depot and/or Service Manager, the Field Service Coordinator/Dispatcher communicates with our clients, accurately assesses their needs, verifies ship arrivals, and dispatches our Marine Service Technicians with the parts needed to perform the job. The coordinator communicates with all key parties throughout the service experience and diligently helps to resolve any disputes.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering the phone and emails promptly and that the daily service requirements of all customers are met in a timely manner.
- Call customers to check on vessel schedules.
- Validates customer credit.
- Communicate job progress with customers, discuss any job problems, and send out completion reports.
- Coordinate depot internal logistics to maintain continuity on all work being performed.
- Reviews all service work, both in progress and completed, and authorizes for invoicing.
- Ensures that all daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly depot processes are followed including timely completion of service work, service and parts pricing, time keeping, time transfers, inventory control, customer invoicing, expense reports, and general record keeping.
- Interfaces with parts department, assists with annual physical inventory.
- Dispatches Field Technicians to the job site with proper information and parts needed to perform the job.
- Coordinates technician travel arrangements as needed,” as the position may assist with travel for DUT rotations or other field assignments.
- Assist in facility management and administrative duties.
- Monitors emails and phone calls after hours.
- Weekend or after-hours coverage may be required during peak seasons.
Field Service Coordinator Qualifications
- College degree preferred (but not required) or equivalent experience in the marine industry.
- 3+ Years’ experience in dispatching and/or in field service coordination and dispatching.
- Possess excellent organization and communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
